  Portfolio Workshop
This workshop reviews the CDHO QA Program and assists a RDH with
the creation and maintenance of a professional portfolio with emphasis

  Process Of Care

  Evidence Based Practice
The new CDHO Standards of Practice state that RDH demonstrate
evidence based decision making (EBDM) in their practice and their
portfolio.  This hands-on course will demystify the EBDM process by
guiding participants through the electronic information highway of
scientific evidence and helping them analyze and apply new knowledge
to their practice.

  Systemic Cancers and Dental Hygiene Care
This course reviews the impact DH treatment has on our clients with
systemic cancers and their treatments, and how they in turn impact
DH treatment.  Discuss clinical presentations, treatments, side effects
and special considerations.

  Infection Prevention and Control
Which agency should the RDH follow for infection control in the oral
health care setting? What do the latest guidelines state? How do
clinical DH satisfy the CDHO practice and portfolio requirements on
a daily, weekly, monthly basis? These questions and more will be
answered, including: taking action to stay healthy; avoiding contact
with blood, and making client care items safe for use.

  Describing Oral Lesions and Barriers to Oral Cancer Screenings
This course will increase documentation skills when oral lesions are

CDHO Standards of Practice will be used to identify the responsibilities
